Welcome to 2016 Bristlemouth reader. Whether your break was long or short, I hope you enjoyed it and managed to catch some sunshine.
It hasn’t been the most exciting week for yours truly, with an ACL reconstruction on the 23rd of December severely restricting mobility. Still, it was a good excuse to spend lots of time on the lounge and get some reading done. The highlight was Losing the Signal, a page-turning read (if you are in to this sort of thing) on the dramatic rise and fall of BlackBerry. Also, don’t miss our Lessons Learned in 2015. It will be the feature in the soon-to-be-released quarterly report but is on the blog now for those who want a head start.
We’re kicking off 2015 with video 5 in our Forager Introduction to Investing Series.
Investor psychology is a topic very close to my own heart. While there won’t be much new in here for those who have followed us a long time (a few reminders never hurt), if you are new to investing this should be a nice introduction to a topic you should spend a lot of time on.
Thanks Steve.
I will keep the next quarterly report somewhere safe for regular reading.
Best wishes on the recovery!
When can you start low impact training? Swimming and cycling are good ways to aide recovery.
Steve/Gareth,

life and death situations are the only place for should and must
paradigms of value investing – anchoring, herding, over-confidence
excellent dual presentation
so, when ‘regularly stress testing the Fund portfolios against macroeconomic risk factors’
it would be interesting to know if Forager is ‘equally developing a stress testing tool testing the Fund portfolios against macro-psychological risk factors’…
